Is there some sort of trial with custom templates on WP.com?

Anyone know how http://scobleizer.wordpress.com/ is using a custom theme? I guess I could ask them directly but hey that would be too easy. ;)

    Yeah ive been wondering the same thing as well. I know that WP.com is going for simplicity, but seeing how right now its hard to get an invite so it may be assumed that only geeks are getting them it might be nice for some customization.

    I think he got a custom theme because he’s a fairly “important” blogger.

    I read somewhere that since he was so “important”, the WP.com staff let him have a custom template. Not being able to customize your template is my biggest grudge with WP.com although its still my favorite.

    i Have moved from joomla to Word Press recently and i just cannot do anything. everything looks very difficult for me.. it is very difficult to cusotomize anything in Word Press.
    i could very easily do this site in joomla.
